Pool & Spa Construction Repairs in Central Florida
Float On. We’ve Got This.
Structural repairs handled with precision, honesty, and long-term durability in mind.
When a pool is leaking, the problem is not always a simple seal or a quick patch. Leak detection often reveals larger construction-related issues that require skilled repair work to restore the system properly. That is where a dedicated construction repair service matters.
If we identify a failing skimmer canister, a compromised light niche, a broken main drain connection, or a buried plumbing issue under the deck, we can take the next step and fix what is actually causing the problem, not just the symptom. This page covers the bigger repairs that are often uncovered once the leak is accurately located.
You may need construction repairs if leak detection reveals:
Why Central Florida Choose’s LazyLadd Pools & Spas
Construction Repairs We Commonly Handle
Skimmers are one of the most common leak sources, especially when the canister or throat cracks, or the plumbing connection fails under the deck. A proper replacement is not a “surface fix.” It requires careful removal, correct set and alignment, and secure reconnection so the skimmer functions and seals the way it should.
Common signs this may be the issue:
Some leaks live where you cannot see them. When plumbing fails under concrete or paver decking, the repair needs to be approached surgically. The goal is to access the problem area, complete the repair correctly, and restore the area with as little disruption as possible.
Under-deck repairs often include:
Pool lights are a frequent leak source when the niche body fails, the conduit connection leaks, or prior repairs were not sealed correctly. These problems can cause hidden water loss. A correct light niche replacement focuses on proper placement and a watertight seal so water can no longer escape.
Some of the light niche issues we address include:
Main drain issues are more complex and higher stakes than many homeowners realize. If a main drain line or fitting fails, it can cause persistent water loss and suction-side problems. A proper main drain replacement depends on the pool configuration and what leak detection reveals.
When needed, we replace main drain components with a focus on:

Pool Construction Repair FAQs
Do you repair fiberglass pool shells?
We do not offer fiberglass shell repair services. Our focus is fiberglass leak detection and the construction repairs that are commonly uncovered through leak detection, such as skimmers, light niches, main drains, and under-deck plumbing issues.
How do I know if I need a construction repair or a simple fix?
If the leak is coming from a failed component (like a skimmer, light niche, or main drain) or from plumbing under the deck, a construction repair is required. Leak detection tells us whether the issue is minor and structural in nature, or something more invasive involving one of the previously mentioned components or plumbing.
What construction-related pool components tend to fail over time?
Skimmers, light niches, main drain connections, and plumbing lines can all wear out or crack due to age, shifting soil, installation variables, and long-term water exposure. These are common failure points when a pool starts losing water
Do I need to drain my pool for a construction repair?
In most cases, construction repairs can be completed without draining the pool. However, certain repairs, such as main drain replacements, skimmer replacements, or light niche replacements, do require the pool to be drained.
If draining is necessary, we’ll communicate that clearly ahead of time and handle the process for you, so there are no surprises.
